Amaurs are powerful ancient spirits, benders of the reality layers. They can walk through dimensions, appear out of nowhere and vanish into thin air. There is a legend that long ago there was a gigantic wise creature, the biggest keeper of secrets in the universe, but it grew so big and old that it tore itself into pieces. Those pieces became Amaurs. each one differs from another. They Have their own way, and carry their own secrets. None of them has a name or gender. To those willing to listen, one day Amaur will whisper his secret and share a little part of the Universe’s mystery.

40cm (16 inches) tall. Details are cast in resin and the body is soft (no joints or skeleton armature inside), he has some plastic pellets in his belly and tail tip to give him good balance and realistic weight. The charm he wears is carved of a spermwhale tooth. I commissioned it from a bone carver I decorated it with dyed acai beads and onyx beads.

Attention! This is a piece of art. Not a toy for small children. Completely handmade, one of a kind. SOLD.

cosplay kittens

We all know that standing out from the crowd of pets needing homes is extremely hard. We’ve featured a number of rescue groups and photographers doing their bit to help our furry friends.

Wendy McKee is another photographer who has used her creativity to help cats find new homes. Based in Texas, her house seemed to be a magnet for unwanted felines, at one point reaching a total of 15 cats and kittens.

As well as being an awesome photographer, Wendy has a talent for making costumes. So what better way to help kittens catch somebody’s eye than to dress them up as characters from her favourite shows.
